go here and look on the left hand side at freeware.download add/remove pro.it can delete entries from the add remove section of the control panel.after that be sure to delete any files left in program files by the game.

Go to your drive where the game is installed, usually C: drive under programs, and look for the game. Sometimes games don't fully uninstall and leave files behind. Look for an uninstall option in there. Otherwise, google the ERASER UTILITY. It is an excellent utility for getting things deleted. It has saved me lots of trouble.

There has to be something left over. Otherwise it wouldn't even know the game was on the hard drive.

Maybe someone knows of a way to search for all traces of a program and delete them?

if you feel comfortable with registry editing you could search in the registry for any traces leftover, also use the search feature just inside the start menu, and search for files.try entering the game maker name,as well as the game name itself.if it finds any files just be sure they are files leftover from that game before you delete them.
