All Games Crash

Hey Guys,

Today I did a reformat on my system because there were errors on there which could not be fixed, they were display driver errors at first but they got worse. They caused all my games to crash whilst playing them.

After my reformat I still get the same problem, of crashing but this time they only CTD and not the whole system.

The games that crash so far are:

X3 Reunion
Call of Duty 2
Flight Simulator X
Combat Flight Simulator 3
Age of Empires 3

Everything is upto date, drivers/direct x, theres no hard disk errors or ram problems. I have ruled those about by trial and error.

System Spec
ASUS P5N32 SLI
Pentium 3.0 ghz LGA775
2048mb DDR 2 RAM
GeForce 7800 GTX 256mb DDR2 RAM
Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS

My System

Which Forceware driver version are you using?

Do you get any error messages or just a crash to desktop?

Run the DirectX tests in Start > Run > dxdiag > Display tab.

Post back with the details from the PSU label....
Watts?
+3.3V=?A
+5V=?A
+12V=?A

Enter your system details into this power calculator and add 30% to the total to allow for PSU inefficiency.

Here is all the display info I could find. I did as you said and was unable to find PSU info.

So I looked on the box, hopefully this will help.

The PSU in my system is an Enermax ATX 12V Noisetaker 600W

+12V output rails -Split 12V rails 12V1 +12V2 Combined
+3.3V & +5V Combined Power - 220W
Min Efficiency - Full load > 75% Typical load > 75% light load > 70%
Stand-by power efficiency (Engery Star) - 50% Minimum
Serial ATA cable - Standard SATA power connectors x2
Output protectors: OCP, OVP, SCP, OTP - Standard OCP on +3.3V, +5V, +12V1 % V2 rails (meet 240VA requirements)
Output OLP - Standard

My System

Read the NVIDIA Drivers thread in my signature, and backdate to the 84.21's. Post back with results.

Re: All Games Crash

It would appear that the old 8 version Nvidia drivers do not solve my problem as the games on my system being Battlefield 2 and The Settlers 2 10th Aniversary edition CTD, The Settlers is time based crash, where as BF2 is random and sometimes will crash the entire system. But no blue screen.
