Run win 95/98 game on xp ???

Hi installed championship manager season 01/02 on a windows xp pro system. Went to play the game and i got a message ( There is not enough system memory to creat the game... Please free up some more and try again) I have 1 GiG of ram and loads of hard drive space avilible. The game box says system min spec win95/98. Went to a few files in C:program files and clicked on run in compatibility 98 and then i tried run in 95 but still it says ( There is not enough system memory to creat the game... Please free up some more and try again)..... Any idies on how i can get this game to work ,,,,,,,, thanks for your time ,,,,,, doj ,,, harris ,,,,,

The problem is actaully that you have too much RAM - too much for the game to comprehend, that is. I had the same problem once, but it was a little easier to fix - I was running Win 98 with 256MB of RAM, and dropping the RAM down to 64MB fixed it. I'll have a look around and see if I can find something to help in this case (you won't be able to drop the RAM down far enough), and in the meantime, try googling for help with 95/98 games and too much RAM.

Sorry to say this, but why are you playing the 01-02 season??? Even the demo of 06-07 is much better.
And just for your information, this game takes quite long for me to load even though my laptop is P4, 496RAM. It's really not worth it and i strongly recommend you not to try playing it.
