Call of Duty 2 - Couple of Issues
Firstly - when I'm playing Call of Duty 2 online, Calculator and Windows Media Player keep opening in the background! Its really annoying because the game pauses for a second, and then sometimes gets minimised back to desktop, I close both Programs, but then a few minutes later they open back up.
I think its most probably got something to do with a HotKey but I've Googled to see if there is one but I can't find it! My second issue is: I can be walking around on a map and my Character going forward, but if I attempt to turn to the left/right - sometimes the Character will continue to go forward and the only way I can stop him is to press forward again. It also happens with my weapon - if I fire a Semi-Automatic weapon once, it will continue to fire, even reload and continue firing - the only way to stop this is to press fire again! I'm using a Wireless keyboard and mouse - they are controlled through the same USB device. I've tried recharging batteries etc.. and still get the same problem sometimes. Does it sound like more of a connection problem, or more related to the Keyboard/Mouse? I don't have issues with either mouse or keyboard with general Word Processing/Browsing etc. I'm using a Netgear DG834GT and I'm wired into that. |

after running through the steps that pharoah suggested, make sure you don't have anything else in your house that could be interfering with your wireless mouse/keyboard signal. It sounds like you have hotkeys set, as you said, and when you press a combination of keys in CoD2 as you will naturally do to acheive some actions, it is calling these programs. Go into your Media Player and Calculator shortcut properties on the desktop (if they are there) and in the start menu and disable any hotkeys that are mentioned.
Make sure you check for any cordless land line phones or wireless controllers or anything else that may be operating on the same frequency as your keyboard and mouse.
