Ok, so the game installs fine, and starts fine, and plays fine upto the point where everytime the guy knocks me out (interval 01) and i go back into the building the game quits by itself to desktop and gives me the "send/dont send error report".
My specs: 1.73GHz Intel Duo Core 1 gb Ram Intel Chipset 128mb graphics card Win Xp Pro If the problem was to with my graphics card, surely the game wouldnt even run, right? I did all those steps Common Game Issues, and still no fix :( Last edited by organic-meatbag; 12-29-2006 at 02:15 AM. |

intel 945GM =gma950 integrated graphics.which is probably not strong enough to play fear.the issue is it is most likely overheating then simply crashing.

i think i found a solution...the first time i installed directx 9 was off the game itself but my firewall blocked part of it so maybe that file is corrupted so when i asked my dad he looked it up and found that? you could download that .dll file and replace it...do you think it will work i have yet to try it as its 2:00 a.m here.

ill download the dll and replace it. the reason is that reinstalling wont fix it because its 9.0c december version so even reinstalling wont fix it because the computer thinks nothings wrong with it and its the latest edition.

here try this i still believe its the integrated graphics.because it doesnt meet the system requirements.as to the fact it keeps crashing in the same place.i believe you are getting to a point that your graphics are being called on to do something it cant.

ok ive tried everything. i downloaded a file that would boost my stack limit, replaced my .dll files, now im only left with 3 options:
1) downlaod patch 1.03 which fixes crashes see here:http://www.intel.com/support/graphic.../CS-022209.htm i sometimes get the first error but the main problem is the crash 2) wait for sierra to reply 3) put a size 10 boot through my comuter if this dosent work i give up.

As pharoah suggested above, follow either of the orange links in my signature, and check that your system meets the requirements. If you're getting "not enough video memory" messages, that just tells me that your system doesn't meet the requirements, which means you'll need to get a video card. Onboard GPU's are not designed to run games.

problem solved...in a round-about way. How did you get it returned for something else? Law states for copyright purposes that an opened game can only be returned for the exact same title. Eh, oh well...not my store that's going to get shut down...
unless you don't live in the USA...
