Dvd player will not recognize dvd.

I can install a game on to my computer from a dvd disk, but when it
comes time to play the game, I get an error message telling me to
put game disc in dvd player and start game again. I eject the disc, have cleaned it more times than I can count, but it still will not work. Any help appreciated.

Which game, and is it an original or a backup copy?

The game is " Prey", and it is a backup copy.

The security features of the original Prey DVD prevent backup copies from working properly. There are ways round this, but we can't discuss illegal hacking here at TSF.

Use your original, bought copy of the game.
