Game minimizes to taskbar?

I've been having a problem when I play Far Cry single player. It seems after about 15 minutes or so the game will minimize to my bottom taskbar on my monitor? Than I have to click on icon for Far Cry to start playing my game. I sure would apprecitate any suggestions or help. I'm using a Nividia GeForce 7800 GS AGP 8X video card. My resolution on my LCD monitor is set at 1280 X 1024 X 75 hertz.

Do you have any programs or system utilities running in the background (downloading, network, temperature monitors, etc)? If so, disable them, and try again. It sounds like something may be taking the focus away from the game.

Run through these first steps and see if anything fixes the problem. Take particular note of the drivers step, and read the NVIDIA drivers thread (also a link in my signature).

Do you have any problems with any other games, or just Far Cry?

^^Correct. Its most likely either the drivers, or some program which is running in the background just did something, causing the game to minimize. Disable all other programs, should have no problem then.

Thanks for the info and I did change my drivers from the 90 series to the 80 series. Also made sure to disable any other programs running in the background. So my problem seemed to stop and I thank you Indoril Nerevar for your help. So roast what kind of music does your band play? I like to listein to music! Plus thank you for your reply.

Reload, good to hear its all working fine again. I play electric guitar and vocals in a hard rock/funk/metal band Diffusion, if you want the link to the bands site, PM me, as i got warned for having the link in my sig.....which is quite odd.
