Computer Crashes whilst Gaming
I have recently had my computer back from the shop after having the hard drive replaced. Since i have had it back it crashes whilst playing games, specifically City of Heroes (the only game i've played so far). It used to crash after a matter of hours, but after downloading drivers for my sound card and fixing the sound problem, the game crashes after a matter of minutes.
Any help with resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. |

Sorry forgot to mention that i have completed all of the things listed on that posted. I even download drivers for my motherboard but this has done nothing except allow me to play a few minutes longer before crashing.

If you know what your doing then i would suggest opening it up and checking all the connections, also try swapping the ribbons out (this is to check for dead cables).
If this is a pre-built (store bought) machine or your not sure of how to do this then i would suggest taking it back to the shop you got it from and ask them to check it for you, as this will keep your warranty intact. |

Yeah, i would recommend just taking it back to the store and asking them to double check it, even if we do give you advice pretty much any physical work to the machine will void your warranty and it will probably be something simple like a loose cable.

when you play games on a computer you need lots of memory 512 mb ram is probably not enough you need at least 1024 mb of ram also you need a decent graphics card your processor should be allright from what I have seen on your list. You dont mention how many watts your power supply is this could be another reason you may need a more powerful one hope this is of some help to you my philosophy is if you want to play the latest games buy a purpose built games console otherwise you need top of the range components for your pc. Also as the new games come out you will need to upgrade as they will be designed on next generation components.
