Multiplayer gameing options

Hey I need some suggestions for games to play over a home network. But no rts or other strategy games. Also alternative game suggestions would be appreciated

Well, if your not into strategy that really only leaves RPG or FPS games, as their is such little range in multiplayer RPG nowadays i'll just mention a few FPS ones.

-Half-life 2:Deathmatch (Incredibly fun when you use nothing but the gravity gun)
-Counter-Strike:Source (Excellent maps, fast and fun)
-Any Battlefield Game (All games in this series have an excellent balance of vehicle/infantry combat and lets face it, landing a plane on your mate is just plain funny)
-Far Cry (You can spend ages just skulking around trying to find each other and then it's usually over in a single shot)

There are also a few good racing games if you get tired of shooting things.

-Need for Speed:Most wanted (Excellent graphics, an all round great racer)
-GTR (Ultra realistic, great graphics and audio, best played with steering wheels)

blobby volley, worms, the games that tiber mentioned also some of the mods for them, need for speed

really depends what you want to play simulators shooters etc etc etc

I can't beleive i forgot WORMS!!!
Possibly THE greatest multiplayer game of all time...hahahaha.
Seriously though, worms is awesome, countless hours have been wasted killing the little buggers.
Highly recommended.

my buddies and i are playing it over Hamachi(online lan emulation) its awsome lol
