First of all I wanna say hi to everyone.
ok this is my problem: when I play a pc game the sound goes away. It also goes away randomly (not with games), after some minutes the sound just goes away, to get it back I have to restart the computer. I don't know if the game corrupts the sound or if the problem is not related to games at all. It started when I install the pc game "half-life 2" (don't know if is related to the problem). PLEASE help me.

Welcome to TSF.
I doubt the game would have any effect on your sound; the first thing I would do is reinstall the sound card drivers. What sound card are you using, and how old is it? Do you have another you can swap in to test?

Hello and welcome.
In addition to testing your sound card, also double check to make sure all the connections from your sound card to speakers are correct and also check the cable hasn't been physically damaged at all. Also if you have another set of speakers to test out as well i would recommend doing that as i once had a set of speakers that died on me randomly. I thought it was the computer but it turned out to just be faulty speakers .
