All Games Lag Like Hell

HI all, I have a thread in the XP forum about the fact that my games would not start, just minimize themselves onto the desktop.... But now I am able to play one (touching wood) but the thing is, It is extremely laggy, like when I oress the forwards key, It takes 10 seconds to react and to go forwards. It's the same for all the other controls :( What's the problem?

Also, what games are you trying to play.
Do you only have this problem in games or have other programs been acting strangely on your computer as well?

Have you been able to play these games on this computer before, or is this the first time you have tried?
