or that dont want to upgrade because vista is ftl. i was already saying someone if not microsoft will make a dx10 compatible api for win xp and guess what ms did it. first thing they done right in months ... years ... decades ?

Awesome, but it's still not gonna stop me from getting an 8800...hehe, santa has been saving for months for one of those babies...
In fact, i need to get a whole new system...heck, i might as well get Vista too, if only for the purtyness of the GUI.

I may be confused, but I seem to remember reading something about this a fair while ago. From memory, DX9L won't really be that much better than DX9. DX10's real capabilities will only manifest themselves in DX10 itself - and only on Vista.

However, if DX9L means the ability to play DX10 games on XP, then I'm all for it!

im not gona upgrade anything for a year if not more. what i have no is suffiecent to play anygame on acceptable settings.

the flashy interface from vista can be had with the vista transformation pack for winxp and it does look pretty im not gona lie!

i agree if 9l allows me to play dx10 games different from farcry crysis (has dx9 compatibility anyways so dx9 isnt really needed) im set and wont consider vista for another year or two cause right now vista isnt looking so hot and the security features new to it ... well i can do without them if u have avg and kerio i dont think thers a need to worry.
