a few things to try:
1. install latest DirectX 2. update your video and sound drivers 3. Post make/model/power of your powersupply I also noticed that system requirements for AA:SF is 384MB of RAM. Since you only have 256, you're running a little short and the game may not like having to go to your paging file all the time.

Well.... Its a long story. I got a new CPU to replace my Duron 1.1Ghz. My motherboard is supposed to be able to take up to a 2100+ Athlon XP so i put in a 1900+ and it only Runs at 1.2Ghz and I cant overclock it so i only got an extra 100Mhz for £30!
