Ghosting Effect In Games!

What causes a ghosting effect while playing a game and you can't see what you ran into? Sometimes I notice when flying in BF2 I can see the other side of the mountain. If I'm not high enough I run into the back side of the mountain . It's really weird when you crash into something you don't see. So what causes ghosting? Thanks for any info on this matter.

update video drivers and directx. What is your monitor: LCD or CRT?

Gamerman has a good suggestion. Make sure everything is up to date, if that doesn't fix the issue, check the particular game's website, make sure there are now issues listed with your specific video card. If that's not the case, you might need to throw down some bills and get a new video card.

Hi Gamerman0203 I have a ViewSonic LCD Monitor VA902b and my graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS. I'll made sure that I do have the update video drivers and directx. Plus my video card and monitor I just bought this month! Thanks for the info plus I'll check out if there are any issues listed by cbieger. Again thanks a whole bunch plus let me know if there are some settings for my video card or monitor that I don't have set correctly for gaming!

The video card and monitor are both good picks for gaming. Do you have the problem just in BF2, or in other games as well? If updating drivers and DirectX doesn't fix the problem, try reinstalling the game.

Let us know how you go.

You might also do a little google searching, there is a NVIDIA console thing you can get that allows you to edit EVERY possible option of your display, as long as you have a NVIDIA card. I use it primarily for gamma correction, but it will let you manipulate just about any visual option. I found it to be an indespensable tool.
