codecs/dvd rom games

hi guys - pleased to meet you all, new member here.

my problem is this - i am trying to run a game on my pc, driver 3. it is a dvd-rom game. i have a dvd-rom drive, in device manager it says it is rummimg normally and the driver is the most up-to date i can get.

i have downloaded ace mega codecs pack

i still can't get the game to work. when i try and run it, it goes back to desktop and the message says 'driver3 has encountered an error and will close' type of thing.

does anyone have any ideas?

Welcome to TSF!!

a dvd-rom is a dvd-rom no matter what. Try uninstalling the driver for the dvd-drive and then reinstall it. Once you get that done, try loading the game again. Also, to further assist, list you system specs.
