The Battle for Middle-Earth Online

I keep trying to play online. Every time I try, I says that I need to download an update. I click yes. Then the game closes and a pop up, um, pops up, and says that there is a patch I need to download. I click yes. Another pop up pops up and with one of those bars that fill up, and says it is connecting. How ever, it never connects. I am also not allowed to turn off any fire walls. What do I do?

Try manually downloading the patch from the EA site, and install it yourself.

It worked!

I downloaded the patch and it worked online. But now, when I play on a player made map, it says the game goes out of synce or somthing...

Glad to hear it's working now. Do you only get the "out of sync" error on player-made maps? If so, this is probably something you'll have to take up with EA.

If you go to the EA website, they should have a support page, with their customer support email address on it. Send them an email about your problem, and they should send you a reply within a week or so.

They want me to download somthing that will scan the comp, and then tell EA what we have. My dad does not want me to do that. I got it working now though. I had to do somthing to our firewall. It works now. Thanks alot for all the help.

For future reference, the scan EA wanted you to do will only scan your hardware, Windows version, etc. It won't scan any private information, nor will it look in any of your documents or anything. It's perfectly safe.

Anyway, glad you got it working.
