Smoothing out Games

Would i notice a nice Difference in FPS in upgrading from a Gainward Geforce 3 64mb to a 9600XT 256mb and 512DDR266 to 1gb ddr266 ( main speed for mobo )?

My Main game runs from 9fps to 30fps, but when i want to record in fraps my FPS drop Rapidly to about 4-5fps, would i notice more Smoothness upgrading to the Above?

Definitely. That's be a very big performance jump. Just make sure the motherboard can support 8x or 4x AGP (I'm not sure what the GeForce 3 cards were).

the Geforce 3 is at 4x AGP, and thats the Max Speed my Mobo can hold, Ive heard its not much of a difference Between 4x and 8x agp.
