a weird one!

I have been playing first person shooters for years and have got quiet good. This is going to sound very weird I know but here goes. I recently purchased MOH Breakthrough and am currently in the first stage. When I try to shoot the enemy with the rifle they don't get hit. I know what you thinking, I'm a bad shot.
I've completed MOH, Alleid Assault, so it isn't that. Is it the way I've set up the game?
I'm lost, don't know where to start. Any ideas.

first of all, I would suggest maybe searching the web for this problem because it may be a glitch. First person shooters can have glitches where the 'hitbox' is non-existent or malfunctioning. Something that would help a lot is to find a MOH forum, and official one if there is one, and search/post the issue there. That way you can get the best help, especially if people are having the same issue.
