Left 4 Dead

So, I couldn't get help for Wolf ET and now i need help for Left for dead..
Everytime i update Left 4 dead from 1.0.0.1 to 1.4.0.0 (I think It was that)
Then I get error :Steam not running,Steam must be opened to play game or something...
Then I update it with standalone patch and get tier.0.dll error...
thats the problem
NO ideas..

Hi hilo123, do you have steam running. You should update your games through steam to ensure its correctly updated. You also need steam running to play Left 4 Dead.

I have Non-Steam I download updates from garena.

There is no legit copy of Left 4 Dead non Steam version
we do not help pirated or cracked games
