att and WoW?

I play World of warcraft and I use ATT internet, i just got my internet installed yesterday and I keep lagging and disconnecting from World of warcraft when I play, this shouldn't happen as far as I know because I got the elite internet package which has 6MB downloads and I think 1MB uploads, is there anything I can do to stop the disconnects? I checked my speed and I'm getting .5MB uploads and only 4MB downloads... Does ATT not have good service??? :(

Re: att and WoW?

Hi,
Is the lag occuring only online, or offline also? Also, are you connected wired or wirelessly to your router?

Wired connection and both online and offline, not just in world of warcraft.

Re: att and WoW?

This may be a hardware issue since it's occuring offline as well.

Can you post your full system specs (CPU, RAM, video card, PSU make and model)?

Re: att and WoW?

No, I figured out the problem, DSL is location based and I'm more than 7 miles from the nearest location, switching to cable. AT&T sucks for internet!

Re: att and WoW?

Ok. Have you switched yet? If so, are you now able to play the game fine?
