Dawn of War II Windows Live Driver Problem

Hello,
I was finally able to download Dawn of War II, and I was then unable to play the game by logging into Windows Live because "there may be a problem with your network card or your drivers." I then proceeded to update all of my drivers, and it still didn't work. On top of this, I called Dell and they said that there is no reason why there should be a problem with drivers and there are no compatibility issues with my computer (a brand new computer). They then made a cop-out solution answer, saying that my game is corrupted.
I also tried to switch between my LAN and my wireless network to no avail.
Any help would be much appreciated, I really want to play this game!

Hello and welcome to TSF

When you say 'download' do you mean from Steam, or a demo of some sort? Or did you download the full game?

Well I got the game from a cd, and for some reason it "downloaded" through steam when I went through installation.

I tried uninstalling McAfee completely, still will not work.
Help would be much appreciated.

Make sure the game is not being blocked by your firewall.

Also, try to run the game as Administrator.

In addition to what has been stated, try opening the ports in your router.

Thank you for the responses. I did try taking down the firewall, still doesn't work. Which ports do I open on my router?

Try opening the ports 6667, 28910, 29900, 29901, 29920.

Access your router by using it's IP address and open the ports from there.
