WoW Driver Problem

whenever i load up WoW is keeps telling me "World of Warcraft was unable to start up 3d acceleration. please make sure Driect 9.0c is insatlled and ur video drivers are up to date" and im running this on windows 7. Can any help me its driving me nuts

Hello and welcome to TSF

Make sure you have DirectX 9.0c installed, you can go to Windows Update to find this.

i have direct x version 11....if im not supose to have 11 and should have 9 how do i delete version 11 and i need a direct link to direct x 9

You should still be able to install DirectX 9.0c.

ok i downloaded directx9 and if u type "dxdiag" in run it tells me im running version direct 11 anyone have any solutions??

You don't need to disable the other, you just install directx 9.0c and your good to go.

i have Standard VGA Graphics Adapter i think thats wat it is i dunno how to check it , and as far as error msg it just says "The instruction at 0x77424ec2 referenced memory at 0x0000000. the memory could not be read

To check it you can go to Run, type dxdiag and go to the video tab.

i dont have a video tab i only have system/sound/display/input tabs

under display is says

Name. Standard VGA Graphics Adapter
Chip Type. NVIDIA
DAC Type . 8 bit

Then under drivers it says
main Driver. vga

Sounds like you have an intergrated Nvidia chip.
This may or maynot be powerful enough to run WoW

i have a 5 yr laptop a dell inspiron 8600 2 yrs ago i use to play world of warcraft so i know this comp will run wow i dont know if its fact that i installed windows 7 but this comp use to run World of Warcraft, anything else you can think of could be my problem?

Your videocard and or it's drivers may not be compatible with Windows 7.

Unless you have a recovery partition (labled as Recovery in My Computer) you will need the disc.
