Weird Graphics in Second Life

I just joined Second Life and I have a serious graphics issue with it. When I open SL the login screen looks fine but when I get into the actual game my screen looks like all the colors in the room I'm in are turned into these triangles of color that are radiating out from a point in the center of the screen. (I've attached a screenshot to show what I mean.) I play lots of other games on my computer, online and otherwise, and none of them have any problem at all with graphics. I've checked all the help files on SL and couldn't find any useful info there, except that one of the tech support guys there uses the exact same card that I have on his computer and SL (obviously) runs great for him. I'm running XP with a Radeon X800XL video card. I am totally baffled by this. Does anyone have any ideas?

Download ATITool and scan for artifacts.
Also, download SpeedFan from my sig and post your temps.

Re: Weird Graphics in Second Life

Thanks for the info. I can see where you're going with this, but did you see the part where I said that SL is the only game that does this? Every other game or program I run on my computer works perfectly fine. I can't imagine there being a problem with my video card that only shows up in one online game and nowhere else.

But I did the two tests anyway. My video card isn't overclocked, so there are no artifacts. And the only temp reading I get with SpeedFan is for the HD, which is 33C.
