Online games not connecting
Hey, I am new here and thought this thread best suited this topic, otherwise I'm sorry!
Over the past few days my internet has been screwing around allowing and disallowing internet access. We finally called our Internet Provider and he "Fixed" the problem. But now when I try to log into the world of warcraft or ventrilo I get stuck at connecting! I have opened up EVERY port blizzard has said to open (I have never had to do this before) I have tried resetting my modem (Motorola SBG900 Wireless SURFboard Gateway) I have also tried a tracert but it just times out. and looked at many other forums and have NOT found anything like this! Also I have just started using a program called Smoothping. It did look sus at first but a mate had been using it so I gave that a go if that may have caused an issue. Any help/Suggestions please!! Re: Online games not connecting
This probably belongs in the "Online Gaming Support" section.
This "Smoothping" program, what is it supposed to do?

Re: Online games not connecting
Hi and welcome to TSF!
Are you using another external device to connect online besides the Motorola gateway, such as a router? If so, what is make and model of it?

Re: Online games not connecting
Nope not using anything to connect appart from my modem. (Model listed in OP)
Smoothping is a gaming application for people with high ping/latency that reduces the ping/latency by connecting to another server. www.smoothping.com |

Re: Online games not connecting
Also, check with the PF port checker to see if the ports are really open.
