online gaming lag
I just installed team fortress 2 on my computer and it runs super slow. i use wireless internet useualyat 20mbps. is it just because my internet is so damn slow or is there a problem with my computer. I have a basic hp that i bought in 2007, has 1 gig of ram not to sure on the other specs. also i have no idea about the inerworkings of computers, i can make one work but thats about it.

You need to give us all the info about your computer so first, could you download Everest from my sig. It should tell you everything about your computer but we will only need this to start off with : RAM CPU Video Card (if you have one) Power Supply Motherboard Model + Brand. Thanks.

Yes, Internet isnt that big of a factor, depends on the game, but cpu speed is a big priority to play any game you want atleast 256-512Mb of RAM.And a 1.2-1.4 GHz processor speed. Video Lag dont seem to be a problem here.

Also, run a test at www.speedtest.net to test your Internet connection speed.
