Xbox Live Nat type Is Strict
Hello i'm having problems dealing with this issue, I just setup a network card today and it's all connected fine the Network - Internet - Xbox Live is working great no problems with it, but the problem I do have is the Nat Type which is something I need to join "Invited games from friends" or join Live parties.
This is what I have tried so far, On my Xbox Live I can't join parties or friends, I have an Xbox live connection through the ethernet cable and everything is setup but when I test my connection it talks about NAT is Strict and ports need to be open. I have done the following and I have read about it on forums but it doesn't seem to be working therefore at the moment I can't join friends in-game from invites, I can't seem to auto-assign an Ip for the Xbox 360 (Static Ip) because Vista gives it another. That is the problem I sent to some friends on Steam and they don't know why it isn't working. I went to a website and it give me 3 ports to open I have done that through the router, I have also tested the connection continuously on the Xbox Live but this was the tricky part it said I had to assign an Static Ip so I tried doing that and I can't seem to get an connection through that Windows Vista doesn't recognize the Ip and won't let me connect so I have to return to Automatic Ip which works on everything besides the Nat settings - static Ip. Re: Xbox Live Nat type Is Strict
What is the exact make and model of both your modem and router?
