WOW Patch 2.0.1.6992 halts ne furthar patch installation plus.. PLZ HELP!

Hey I just bought the game today and am an experience computer user and have a vast range of knowledge within IT.

I have installed the game for the first time
I installed it with no problems and also created an account with no problems.
So i started up WOW and it said it needed to install some patches so I installed patches to ver 2.0.1.6992 with the WOW installer and then i reloaded world of warcraft to find yet more patches had to be downloaded.
It came up on the bar below the news feed and above the options and support buttons.

after about a meg of downloading the console closed and the Wow installer reappeared to start reinstallation of the whole game.
Occasionally for some reason it kept trying to take me back to an earlier patch after i had already downloaded the above patch
so after this i thought i would reinstall and it hasnt changed anything

still stuck on the same patch and am now wasting valuable data allowance as am on a payg mobile broadband tariff

Please help me im dyin to play the game and blizzard stil havent got back to me

I am not very familiar with how WOW patches install, but when you uninstalled it before reinstalling, check to make sure there aren't any WOW files left.
