CoD 4 horrible lag

I am playing Call of Duty 4 on my mac and I've been playing it for a while now never had much of a problem with it until about a week ago i will try to join most servers and it'll tell me "this server is for low ping players only". Or il join a server and start playing the game will run smoothly for maybe 2 minutes then i will get just massive constant lag for a minute. Il just be playing and suddenly my character will move backwards fast or just not respond until seconds later he wont shoot I'l change weapons and he will shoot randomly because the lag is just so bad my guy wont do what I do until soon after. I dont know whats wrong my internet is working fine its not lagging besides in CoD can someone please help?

Do you have the port open for COD4?

Whats your isp?Please use this website speedtest.net to test your internet speed and post the direct link of your results. And is this lag only online?try this in single player and see if there is lag there too.
