PS-2 cant find server new on line setup
HELP- I am connected to the PS-2 directly (via ethernet wire) using optimum on line as my provider. I used the PS-2 online disc to save to my memory card so I could put my game in the disc drive. I can't get on line to play my game. I tryed posting a common port number to my router (don't know if it is correct- got the number from my cable company Tech Support). I did this by calling up my routers IP address on my routers web site and editing the port numbers. Then inputing a IP address I made up in the PS-2 using the set up options when setting up. I just changed the last number of the Router IP address to indicate the router line the PS-2 was using. But it didn't work. Then I plugged the ethernet directly into the Optimum On Line cabel system (bypassed the router) but it only said " can't find server"
What is the correct port number for the PS-2? Anyone know how to set up on line? Do you need to have the PS-2 go through a computer to play on line and if so how do you plug a PS-2 into a computer? JD-Doom |
