New router and xbox live
Yesterday I got a router and an an xbox adapter for my xbox 360 because im trying to get signed up to live.
The router is a linksys Wireless-G ADSL2+ Gateway Ive connected it all up and it works fine on the PC, but on my xbox I first had trouble detecting it, which was eventually fixed. When the xbox eventually detected the router, it said it wasnt secure, so i searched on the internet on how to make it secure and eventually I ended up entering a pass phrase, generating 4 long keys containing numbers and letters. Underneath these 4 keys it says TX key = 1. I assumed this meant the first key was the default one, so i saved settings, went back to my xbox and it now detected the router as a secure WEP network. I entered it, put in the password and then it brought up the connection test. I ran it but it got stuck at wireless network and it said it wasnt connected. This is confusing me because if it can detect the wireless network in the first place how can it say it isnt connected? Need help. |
