Ventrilo grey screen of death?

Okay I wasn't sure where to put this, but I use ventrilo for my online gaming? :S

Well everytime I get on ventrilo it brings me to the window, and if I try to click setup it will make my whole screen grey. I can simply press escape and get out of it. When I exit out of it my whole screen turns grey and the only thing I can do to get this off is if I turn my laptop on and off.

Have you tried reinstalling Ventrilo?

Yes, i've uninstalled it and then reinstalled it twice.
