Xbox live connection dropping
I recently had my xbox 360 connected wirelessly to a Linksys WRT54GS and my connection worked perfect with a little lag here and there. Then my connection just got horrible and i started getting connection interrupted every game (Call of duty 4 & 5) and returned to the lobby. After i search for a game i get put back into the same game 75% of the time with my score restarted. This got to be very annoying and after looking for a solution and being unsuccessful i decided to buy a new router. My new router is a Linksys WRT160N (version 2 if it matters) and the problem still exists! My ISP has monitored my connection and said that every thing is working correctly. Please help me solve this!

Hi and welcome to TSF.
It may help to open the ports. Here are guides on how to do so. http://www.portforward.com/english/r...x_Live_360.htm http://www.portforward.com/english/r..._of_Duty_4.htm

Re: Xbox live connection dropping
Hi, thank you.
I tried forwarding the ports you suggested (exluding the Call of Duty 4 one because it isnt related to the xbox live servers) and I dont think it worked. My NAT is still moderate and my connection is still dropping. Please Help! |

Re: Xbox live connection dropping
What is the make and model of your modem? (The device that connects to the WAN or Internet port of the WRT160N.)
