Changing NAT type?
hey everyone im new. i've posted my problem all over the internet but no other forum has helped me. maybe this one will be different.
I bought a ps3 last month and i've connected it wirlessly to my Belkin F5D8233-4V3 router. only problem is it was stuck on NAT type 3 which meant i coudln't invite friends into online games. what i've done now is put my PS3 outside the DMZ or something? if that makes any sense. it works fine expet it means i have no protection or secruity right? So could someone tell me the proper way of sorting it all out? something to do with port forwarding i think. thanks guys. |

Re: Changing NAT type?
Hi chippy! and welcome to TSF,
Using DMZ is risky but as far as i know PS3s can not get PC viruses as they have a completly different operating systems from Windows or MACs. Try going here. http://www.portforward.com/ Select your router and then "PS3 NAT 3 and 2".
