age of empires 2 weird connection issue?

so we were all in the same hamachi channel, we tried with both LAN /icp/tp (or something) and the internet direct play version to try and connect to our hamachi IP adresses, but for some reason the rest can connect, and me and 1 friend are excluded. however, when I make a game, noone can join but that 1 friend. we just get timed out and get the "unable to join" message...

Did you check your firewall?

Are you being issued a Hamachi style IP on that virtual network adapter that Hamachi uses? I suspect you guys are hitting some maximum client limit on Hamachi.

In other words, a network can contain 1 owner, up to 16 basic members and up to 256 premium members.
If you are not in excess of 16 clients then you could try to reinstall Hamachi... It's my understanding that Hamachi needs to be installed on all participating clients.

Good luck, and be sure to report back for further assistance! :)
