CS:S Constant Spikes
Ok so my issue with Counter Strike: Source is that when ever I am in a server (online), I get these constant lag spikes. They only seem to happen when I am shooting, or moving around or any other action. The lag stops when I stop performing that action. I run on vista, i use a cable to run the internet (I heard wireless could be a problem, so i switch but it didnt fix it).
My laptop is brand new, its not overheating or anything, cpu usage is fine. My fps is great, it runs all other games completely fine except CS:S. Any feedback would be much appreciated, Thanks. |

Re: CS:S Constant Spikes
check you meet the system reqs.. i had some lag spikes on css, it was due to programs running in the background. try it without messenger or anything uneccisary open. when i load my user account on the computer the first thing i do is turn off or close all unnecissary programs in the icons down the bottom right along the start bar where the time is displayed so that all that is left is what i'll need for what i intend on doing/using.
also try only playing servers with the lowest ping available for your area. other than that i cant help you further.. see what the mods can tell you. |

When you play offline, the game is fine?
Are you joining local servers? What is your internet connection speed? http://speedtest.net |
