internet yes....network no?

it seems that my xbox live account is not going through to network, however my internet i working completely fine. I use a hard line ethernet wire to connect to a port in my room and that has worked for me since the day i got my xbox360 but now after christmas it seems it hasnt worked a day, and i have done pretty much every suggestion that the xbox suggestion crap has said to do to try and fix this problem. I dont know if this can relate but i had reset my router a few days either before or after christmas( i cant really remember) to get my lost router password so i could connect my wii as well.only a week after christmas i had chekd and seen that my xbox live isnt connecting to network, and i had also not checked after i reset my router to see if my live was working off the hard line. So im not completely sure if its the rumor that ive heard of new user boom after christmas and its the xbox server side thats not working, or if its because its something i did with my wireless router(which i dont know why it would be seeing as how i had always used a hard line to connect to internet.) im pretty much at a dead end with my xbox live right now and everytime i turn it on and try to connect i want to throw the damn thing out the window

if someone can please give me some suggestions, or straight answers about this internal xbox server problem from christmas, on what to do i would appreciate it so much. thank youu

and a motorola surfboard modem model-SBY5120

you can try port forwarding Xbox live
