Ventrilo Help

Hi,

I joined my friends' channel for Ventrilo, for Warcraft 3, and I am able to hear their voices whenever they talk, however, when I press the left control button, any sound that is currently playing on my computer is sent. That was before I got a microphone/head set combo, and now that I have one, it is still the same, and I cannot speak to them, only sounds from the computer are sent. I know that the plugs are in the right ports because everytime I plug hardware in, it asks if it's correct. Can anyone help me at all?

It seems as if you have "Stereo Mix" or "What You Hear" in your recording options.

The correct option would be Microphone. Are you using Windows 95/98/2000/XP or Vista?
