CS:S and Portal Locks up :(
iv just built a new comp (2days old, all new components) .
Graphics- nVidia 9800 GTX Processor- AMD 64 x2 6000 3.1GHZ Mother Board- Abit AX78 RAM- x2 Crucial 1066 when i play counter strike it will play great for an hour or so, then it locks up. the screen goes black and the sound loops. cant ctrl+alt+del, cant alt+f4. i have to turn off the power and restart. my processor is running at 53 deg/c so cooling isnt the prob. GPU @ 35 deg/c i had the same problem with my old laptop. (acer aspire 9420- geforce 7300) i tried everything i could think of and nothing worked until one day it stopped doing it. i dont know if it was after an update or new drivers, it just worked. Apologies if this thread is in the wrong place. Any help would be greatly appreciated
