Need some Gaming Help Please!

Hi Everyone,

Im very new to the forum's but i've been here before and had a look around. And i think you guys could give to the answers to my problems that im having.

Xmas is fastly approching and my PC is going down hill to be honest. Im asking here if you guys and girls could give me some links on what to buy this xmas with a £150 Budget that could make my Pc better on performing my favorite games.

The Games i love to play are.

World of Warcraft
Counter Strike 1.6
Counter Strike: Source (CANT PLAY ANYMORE :( DUE TO PC )
Call of Duty 4 (CANT PLAY)

World of Warcraft is the top game i want to be able to play in pretty much high settings i can play CS1.6 at a very good level seeing that it was out years and years ago and isnt really graphicly modern. But it would be nice if i could play CS:S again and COD4 smoothly on my PC with the stuff i will be getting for Xmas.

The Things i feel i need most are:

Processor
Graphics Card
Hard Drive x2
Ram (2 Gig)

I Think my Mother Board is okay at the moment. I dont really know much about PC's so your advise is gold to me.

Here are most of my PC specs:

OS: Windows Vista Ultimate

Processor: 1.25 gigahertz AMD Athlon

Motherboard (i think): Board: MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD MS-6570E
Bus Clock: 100 megahertz

BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG 01/20/2005

RAM: 1 GB

GFX CARD: NVIDIA GeForce 6600

Hard Drives: SAMSUNG SV8004H [Hard drive] (80.06 GB)
ST340810A [Hard drive] (40.02 GB)

As you can probley tell i dont know much about PC's but i really do want a PC that can run World of Warcraft High or Medium settings. If you could give me some Tips and Links on what things to buy for xmas that would be great!.

Thank You so much in advance!.

Re: Need some Gaming Help Please!

If you want to run games on Vista, then u basicly NEED 2GB of ram. To be honest a computer with any version of Vista should have a minimum of 2Gb of ram. Ram makes your computer run faster! The more you get the better!
