FFXI- Trial DVD disk is not read on hp laptop

As stated above, my dvd disk is not being read by the laptop, i have 2 of the same laptop in my home and neither is working. I deleted and reinstalled the dvd rom and still no recognition at all of the disk. This however, did not occur on my world of warcraft trial dvd, which i used as a space saver instead of my 4 usual wow install disks.

The FFXI discs are notorious for not auto-running properly. Just open it from My Computer.
