[SOLVED] COD 4 --Same house computers

Hey everyone not sure if this is the right Forum to place this trouble, But I bought the game recently, and when I first installed COD4 Me and my bro played a couple games just fine. The next day we tried to play again and every time we try and join the same game whoever was in the game gets disconnected or the one trying to join gets a connection timed out.

It worked at first, Is there a special way to fix it? I've tried FAQ's and stuff for COD4 but every time I try a search engine I get some stupid cheat sites. Anyone know how to fix it or can direct me to a tech support who can? any help would be greatly appretiated

Possible problem if you purchased just one copy of COD4 and are playing it on two computers.

No.. we both bought seperate games i know how the whole key thing works.

But I figured out my problem /w a different tech support. Thanks anyway.

DUDE! How did you fix it, I play with my bro like this:Wall to Modem, Modem to Wireless Modem, Then we connect our computers together, and we have the same prob as you, If your still around please give me the website you visited so i cna try to get it to work cheers.

Hey there

If you get this All I read to do was.. I right clicked on my CoD4 mult player short-cut and clicked properties then CLick the short-cut tab and the target Box I have "C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\iw3mp.exe" +set net_port 289624 And on his it has the same exact thing except the last number is like one higher or one lower, you may need to change that number everytime you guys want to play.. inless I did something wrong, but thats what the website told me to do and thats what I did.. and it worked fine
