Americas Army Lag

Hello,

I play americas army a lot and i am getting a lot of lag when i am playing it.

My internet modem is upstairs in my house and i am down stair, so for me to get internet i run a 50ft cable downstair and into a switch then i run a 25ft to my computer from the switch. would this be the reason for so much lag?

Hi,

I very much doubt the cable would be a cause of the lag. I found out that the lag is mainly due to the geographical location of the server.

You can check the locations for servers here. Towards the bottom of the page, there is also a search function which allows you to specify servers from the specific country. Give that a go and see if you get lag on a server which is located in your own country. Post back if this is the case.

i tryed a server from my country, and yes i still get lag. I know its the internet doing it because i will be running then like 2 seconds later i will be right back where i started...is there anything i can do to get rid of this

I'm not sure if much can be done about the lag. Have a look at this tweak guide to see if it helps at all.
