New Xbox 360 2007 update problems..

the new xbox 360 2007 update came out a couple of hours ago, and like a couple hours before that i was play fifa 08 online, so when i just recently got on my xbox 360, it said i signed into xbox live and everything and i tried to play online and it says im not signed in, when i really am but it wont let me play online, help plz

Stupid question, but did you let it update fully? and restart on its own?
once you started encountering the problems have you tried signing out then back in, or restarting the machine?

it tookk me like 4 times of turning it on and off to get the update to work well
