Nintendo Wii Wi-Fi Problem

I have a problem with wi-fi on the Wii. I'm currently using the Nintendo
Wi-Fi USB Connector. On my Wii, I can connect to the Internet fine, however on my games, such as Guitar Hero 3 and Madden 08, the online play will NOT connect. I'm running a firewall called "TrendMicro." If i turn it off, I can connect to the Internet easily, but still the games won't connect. Is this a router problem? Do I need to get a new router? If so, what router would you recommend for the Wii to function properly. (My computer is XP)

Use a DMZ for the Wii. Also, you were aware that Wi-Fi is built into the Wii, right? The USB adapter is a waste of money.
