silkroad video problems

so, i downloaded and installed silkroad last night. it was working pretty well. than today, i downloaded and installed one of those drivers from the silkroadonline.net site. i downloaded the window xp one since thats what my computer is. after i did that, i tried to run silkroad but the display and the video was messed up in all sorts of way. i hear the music playing just fine, but the video looks broken. i dont know how to explain it. it has lines everywhere. i cant make out the ship or the buildings or anything thats supposed to be there in the openning movie. someone please help me, and please dont use bunch of computerific terms such as protocol, ports, ram, etc. please help me in a way i can understand it.

what driver did you download,and install i assume?if it was a video driver did you uninstall the old one first?

nope.that was probably the problem. but its too late now, so is there any way i can fix it?

uninstall any installed video driver.be sure to delete the files for those driver's.then reinstall the driver you just downloaded.
