Nintendo WiFi connector and Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG
I've been having a problem with connecting my wii using the WiFi USB connector when my computer is connected to the internet using UT Dallas's wireless network. I'm using the WiFi connector because the UTD network uses 802.1x authentication which the wii does not currently support.
Anyway, if my computer needs to revalidate when the WiFi USB connector is plugged in, it is unable to do so, and I can't view the wireless card properties or open the Wireless Zero connection application. I don't think it's a problem with the USB connector because it works flawlessly when my computer is connected to the wired LAN at my parents' house. Any suggestions? Thanks. |

Re: Nintendo WiFi connector and Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG
I've tried different things when trying to restore the connection by wither repairing or disabling my computer's connection using the physical switch on my laptop, both with and without unplugging the WiFi USB connector first.
I've contacted Sony about the problems (I have a VAIO), and after upgrading the suggested drivers didn't work, I was told to restore the C drive, which is something I don't want to do if at all possible. |
