More Ventrilo support...!
Ive noticed some threads on here concerning ventrilo questions. i have some of my own...
start off with saying thank you for welcoming me to this forum. im trying to run the ventrilo server off my computer wirelessly through a NETGEAR WGR614 v7 router installed in my house on my other computer. Now i understand ventrilo server needs the following port of 3784 open, so i successfully opened that port... All firewalls are disabled... so i put my local ip in the client ventrilo, gave my buddies my static ip from whatismyip.com, only problem is they cant join my server. yet i can!!. so i see myself in my server, and turns out my buddy can see ME in the server as well, just thing is he cant join it. so whether its a security issue with my NETGEAR or what i dont know. i mean i forwarded the correct port and all. i dont feel like contacting my isp cause lets be honest who wants to do that. help is greatly appreciated, thanks. |
