**Rare Steam Problem**

The problem i have is, whenever i start my computer, or start steam. This program itself starts up. Now, when you first see the steam login screen, there is a picture of the logo, and a space to put your information. Now whenever i see this, or any of the steam applications, there is no text. Whatsoever. Just a darkgreen/grey blob with the steam logo. I tried re-installing it, and restarting my computer. Can anyone give me a solution ?

Do you run PeerGuardian by any chance? This has been known to interfere with steam's update and communications servers, and might have fudged your install with an update lag or something.

Barring that, I would uninstall again and see if there's any settings saved from steam in your 'documents and settings' or 'application data' folders- this sort of thing has caused me similar problems in the past that were remedied by deleting the programs' entries in these folders.

You might also want to try a registry cleaner, like the one that's included with CCleaner.

Ugh..nothing Re-installed - and i've got a screenshot, if that helps in anyway of solving this.

Is your CPU usage high?
Try closing out of some of your programs that are in the task bar and see if that does anything.
If not, I'd take it up with Valve. It seems sorta fishy.

/agree i would deff take this up w/ vavle. if you reinstalled and did everything right, then...everything should be right. amirite?
