In most cases you can get away with just using the modem directly connecting to the PS3.

i know this becuz i did it. connecting ur modem to ur ps3 wont work. u do need a router. go to circiut city and get a good 1(wireless perferd). then do wat the istructions tell u. after that go to google and ask the ip adress of ur current company that made ur router.ex:what is d-links ip adress. then put wep security on it for no one else.and then u should have a connection

hi
in my experiences you can connect directly to a modem or a router by ethernet. In other cases you can go to the network settings at the playstation menu and use a wireless connection and connect to your wireless router. |
