Pogo.com is restricted

I have played pogo games for many years.Never no trouble getting on there website. Now in the status bar I a Privacy Icon which says Pogo is blocked by cookies. I also am getting a Restricted Site icon. I have tried everything to get rid of these resrictions and nothing works. Pogo says that cookies is Disabled on my computer and Pogo requires cookies to be enabled for the site to funtion. I have tried everything in the Internet Options dialog box and nothing works. I'm a senior citizen and not very smart. I hope someone can help. I'm at my wits end. Thank you.

Hello Mr Norm. Welcome to TSF.

Do you happen to know what browser you use?

Re: Pogo.com is restricted

Ok. Could you do the following and see if it makes a difference.

1. Click tools, then click Internet Options
2. Select the Security tab.
3. Select Restricted sites, then click the Sites button.
4. In the list that comes up, search through it and see if pogo.com is listed in it. If it is, select and delete it.

Please do not delete any other website from that list.

If what Jack.Sparrow said doesn't solve your problem (it should), clear your cookies.

Re: Pogo.com is restricted

None of the above did not solve my problem. there was no Pogo in the restricted sites. Also it seems cookies have beenremoved from my computer. How do you reinstall cookies? There is also a Privacy Report icon on my status bar. I really have a mess.

Re: Pogo.com is restricted

Cookies are nothing but little text files used by web pages to store information. They can not be uninstalled and installed

Could you download and install this, then try accessing pogo again. If it works, then the problem lies with Internet explorer. If firefox can't load it, then there is something else blocking the page.

Post back to say which way it goes so we can try and figure out what's going on.

Re: Pogo.com is restricted

It seems then, that there is indeed an issue with your IE and pogo. What version are you using by the way? (Help -> About Internet Explorer)

Re: Pogo.com is restricted

Morning

Not quite.

Open Internet Explorer, then go to Help, then select About Internet Explorer. A small window will open up telling you the version number.

If you can't see the help menu, press the alt key.

Re: Pogo.com is restricted

Probably be easiest to use Windows updates.

Or you could just use Firefox, that way you don't have to fix anything (and in my opinion it's a better browser)
